Alco Century units roar out of the Vosburg tunnel. This tunnel eliminated a major river bend in the LV's main line and was an important improvement project after completion of the line. The builders of the tunnel used the most modern methods available at the time, and were proud enough of their work that they wrote a detailed book on the project after completion of the tunnel.
